Paul Mitchell Schools High School Scholarship

Paul Mitchell The School Colorado Springs is pleased to offer scholarships to support our Future Professionals. To apply, please review the following scholarship criteria, complete the application, and provide relevant documentation. Only one scholarship will be awarded per qualified applicant.

2026 High School Scholarship Details and Criteria

  • Scholarship applications must be submitted prior to signing the enrollment agreement.
  • Students must be scheduled to graduate from an eligible high school between March 1, 2026 and December 31, 2027.
  • Each applicant must receive his or her high school diploma prior to the chosen enrollment date.
  • Students must submit a sealed, official High School Transcript via physical envelope or a digital credential service (e.g., Parchment) showing a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • All applications will be reviewed by the Paul Mitchell The School Colorado Springs Scholarship Committee, and all decisions made by the committee will be final.
  • Scholarships in the amount of $500 will be available during calendar years 2026 and 2027.
  • If no eligible applications are submitted, the scholarship will be void.
  • A scholarship credit will be applied to the Future Professional’s account at the conclusion of each payment period in the program the Future Professional is enrolled in. The credit amount in each payment period will be calculated by dividing the total scholarship by the number of payment periods in the program.
  • Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress at the end of each payment period to remain eligible.
  • Recipients will forfeit their scholarships if they fail to complete the program or achieve the eligibility requirements.
  • Scholarships may be applied to tuition. Scholarship funds may not be applied to the student kit.
  • Scholarship winners must fulfill ALL admissions requirements.

Scholarship Essay or Video Essay

Each year, thousands of Future Professionals and staff members from Paul Mitchell Schools donate their time, talent, and energy to support a variety of charitable causes. Paul Mitchell Schools are dedicated to supporting individuals who are committed to giving back to the community through service to others.

The scholarship essay or video essay is a critical piece of the scholarship application. Please answer the following questions in a total of 500 words or fewer – or five (5) minutes or fewer for video essay submissions.

  1. Why is a Paul Mitchell Schools education the right choice for you?
  2. What are your educational goals and plans following graduation?
  3. Describe your dedication to and involvement in charitable causes and organizations that benefit and support others and the community.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • The Scholarship Committee will review all submitted scholarship essays and video entries. Judging criteria includes content and creativity, as well as candidates’ ability to show drive and enthusiasm for the industry, commitment to their future, and a dedication to and involvement in giving back to the community.
  • Scholarship applicants can choose to submit either an essay or video, along with the completed scholarship application.
  • Scholarship essays must be typed (double-spaced and single-sided), answering the questions on the application. Include your name and contact information in the essay. Limit your entry to 500 words.
  • Scholarship video essays must be submitted in .mp4 format or as a YouTube link and must answer all the questions on the application. Include your name and contact information in the title of your video essay. Limit your entry to five (5) minutes or fewer.

Letters of Recommendation

Please submit two (2) letters of recommendation from an employer, supervisor, teacher, or other individual who can speak about your community involvement. Recommendations may not be written by family members.

Scholarship Terms

Acceptance of an individual scholarship award shall be an agreement to the terms and conditions of that award, as well as all policies governing the school’s scholarships. Every student’s financial award package (scholarships and need-based assistance) is subject to compliance with federal aid regulations.

  • The school reserves the right to adjust individual scholarship awards to ensure compliance with institutional and federal policies.
  • Renewable awards are contingent upon maintaining satisfactory academic progress.
  • Awards may only apply to charges on a student ledger card or direct costs (tuition and fees) a student incurs.
  • Students may qualify for only one scholarship per program of study.
  • Recipients will forfeit their scholarships if they fail to complete the program or achieve the eligibility requirements.

2026 Military Scholarship Details and Criteria

  • Scholarship applications must be submitted prior to signing the enrollment agreement.
  • Applicants must be honorably or medically discharged military veterans, active-duty military personnel, or spouses of active-duty military personnel. All branches of the military and active reserves are eligible.
  • 10 (ten) scholarships in the amount of $500 will be available for the calendar years 2026 and 2027.
  • If no eligible applications are submitted, the scholarship will be void.
  • A scholarship credit will be applied to the Future Professional’s account at the conclusion of each payment period in the program the Future Professional is enrolled in. Alumni Application Fee Scholarship

The Alumni Application Fee Scholarship is a scholarship in the amount of $25.00 toward the application fee offered to students who have previously graduated from a program at Paul Mitchell The School Colorado Springs and have paid their balance.

The scholarship must be accepted by the applicant with their other Application Documents and before their written Notification of Acceptance or Denial is sent.

Alumni Tuition Scholarship

The Alumni Tuition Scholarship is a $400 scholarship to be applied to tuition upon successful completion of a subsequent program offered at the school. It is available to students who have previously graduated from a program at Paul Mitchell The School Colorado Springs and have paid their balance on that program.

The scholarship must be accepted by the applicant prior to signing the Enrollment Agreement and is distributed into their school account when they have successfully completed the program they are going into.
